This past weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating with several young couples the very day of their wedding and literally taking their relationships to new heights. What we loved about each of the couples is not only were they celebrating by flying in a hot air balloon, they also followed the traditional wedding gift theme too. We had two celebrating their five year anniversary, which traditionally is themed with a gift made of wood. And the other couple was celebrating their ninth-year anniversary. All the couples did their research and found out that many hot air balloon baskets are also made with willow tree wood.
The basket's body (also called the gondola) is usually made of rattan and willow woven together. The floor can be made of plywood. The edges of the basket are commonly bound in leather, suede, or rawhide. Air Ventures also has a unique feature that many other companies do not have in their baskets and that is an accessible door. The ease of a door is the gateway to safely accessing your high-flying adventure.
Weddings are a key event in any couple's life, as they bring together friends and relatives to celebrate the happiness, joy and love of the couple. Wedding anniversaries are also perfect opportunities to celebrate this love between two people. These couples all decided to commemorate the joy of their marriage by enjoying a lasting experience with one another on a hot air balloon ride. The peace and solitude of their sunrise voyage made for a serene and tranquil shared moment. One that they will cherish, reflect on and refer to in the years to come. A new story in their travels as man and wife.
In most cultures, the wedding anniversary is thought to be an important occasion, and it is generally celebrated in meaningful and significant ways. Couples are reminded of their marital commitment, and a lot of effort often goes into finding the perfect gift that will be symbolic and meaningful for one's partner, or the happy couple. Choosing a gift of a hot air balloon ride to celebrate a wedding anniversary is a gift that is equally enjoyed by both the person giving it and the person receiving, one had will be cherished forever. One couple (who will remain anonymous) referenced a gift of a leather satchel but expressed giving an experience was a so much more meaningful way to commemorate the occasion while still following the anniversary gift tradition. How many other gifts would fit with giving a balloon flight?
